DC has been trying their hand at creating a lot of stuff lately within the film space to varying degrees of success. The hero company is truly banking on the DCEU, which The Batman kickstarted and will continue with the likes of the R-rated body horror Clayface. Well, an as of yet untitled Deathstroke and Bane film has found its director in Greg Mottola, who has DC experience helming two episodes of Peacemaker Season 2.
Now, this is a very early report from Deadline, as not only has no script been turned in but neither has a contract been signed. The screenplay was reportedly inked by Moon Knight writer, Matthew Orton. As of right now, though, the project is still very much in development with no plot details out in the wild.
Deathstroke and Bane are seldomly used characters within the DC universe, with the latter actually not appearing in a film since Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises all the way back in 2012. Meanwhile, Deathstroke hasn’t been in the DCU since 2017’s Justice League for a brief appearance post-credits.
Just like no plot details are out there, neither is a release date or much else about this odd couple film.
