Ben Stiller spearheads new A24 Knicks documentary
A24 is fastly becoming a household name with all the big celebs finding themselves in their projects. Among them now is Ben Stiller who is spearheading a new documentary centered around the New York Knicks.
Stiller spilled the beans during his time at the Roommates Show, revealing that he teamed up with A24, NBA, and HBO to bring this project to life. The Focker-in-Law star will direct and has plans to interview New York Knicks players over the next year. He’s placed this as a “dream project” and will offer never-before-seen footage of the team.
“Obviously I’ve been shooting some stuff on my phone, but it’s kind of gonna be about all eras of the Knicks. There’s a culmination here of something that has been going on for a long time, so it’s super exciting. And it’s great to have had all this access to your team, and we’re gonna probably be shooting a little bit more during next season.”
A24’s coming down from the high of Kane Parsons’ Backrooms, which was their highest-grossing theatrical release, but beyond that, they produced Everything Everywhere All at Once back in 2022 and last year’s Marty Supreme. Their TV division produced Hazbin Hotel and Euphoria.
