Warner Bros. shared a new trailer on Tuesday for Wonka, yet another adaptation of Roald Dahl’s famed Charlie and the Chocolate Factory book from all the way back in 1964. Paddington writer-director Paul King spearheads the film.
The movie takes us on the origin story of the iconic fictional chocolatier as he must brave the “chocolate cartel” and find a way to stand out from the rest of the chocolate-peddling entrepreneurs. We’ll even get to see how he met the Oompa-Loopas.
The trailer gives us a taste of what to expect, including seeing Wonka tap-dancing on a cafe table.
The flick has a star-studded cast behind it, outside of Timothée Chalamet taking on the starring role, we have Hugh Grant, Olivia Colman, Keegan-Michael Key, Sally Hawkins, Rowan Atkinson, Matt Lucas, Jim Carter, and more.
Now, this isn’t the first time we’ve heard of Wonka. Back in April, they shared a first look at the film during CinemaCon, where it was revealed that Chalamet swam in a pool of melted chocolate.
