New James Bond casting underway at MGM
MGM is on the prowl for the next James Bond, with casting vet Nina Gold in charge of finding the next 007. Whoever is cast will be replacing Daniel Craig, who exited stage right after the hit that was No Time to Die.
The news was broke by Variety, who caught wind of it with a statement from Amazon MGM Studios. Furthermore, a source with knowledge of the production confirms Gold’s involvement while she herself remains silent.
“The search for the next James Bond is underway. While we don’t plan to comment on specific details during the casting process, we’re excited to share more news with 007 fans as soon as the time is right.”
Gold, for her part, is no stranger to big IPs, having handled casting HBO’s Game of Thrones as well as having her hand in Netflix’s The Crown and multiple Star Wars projects.
