King of the Hill had a huge impact in the early years of adult animated sitcoms; the Hill family and wider residents of Arlen, Texas sparked a new type of sitcom, one focused on the little things and touching moments between family and friends. This is the key to how the series lasted 13 seasons in its original run from 1997 through 2009. Its fan base also never died out, leaving fans craving more as the years ticked by. Finally, their prayers were answered when the series would get a reboot on Hulu that debuted just last year. Now, Season 15 is right around the corner.
Over on X (via Comicbook), Season 15 will debut July 20 on both Hulu and Disney Plus. While they haven’t confirmed the episode number, we expect it’ll be the same as last season — 10. It’s speculated that the next season will see more use of Kahn Sophanousinphone, who was recasted to Ronny Chieng while the original actor, Toby Huss, takes on Dale Gribble in place of the late Johnny Hardwick.
The King of the Hill reboot over all takes place years after the original series’ end, highlighting Hank and Peggy Hill entering retirement and moving back to their old home after years of working in Saudi Arabia.
