The Batman: Part II confirms Scarlet Johansson
Right on the heels of teasing fans with screenshots of the Batmobile for The Batman: Part II, director Matt Reeves has confirmed a couple castings, as well.
Compiled by THR, Reeves went ham, revealing not just the long-expected Scarlet Johansson casting, but also Sebastian Stan, Charles Dance, and more. Johansson is no doubt known as of late for her role in the MCU, specifically Black Widow, but with her character gone and her decision to not reprise the role, it kind of swung the door open for her to take hold of some sort of role in the DCEU. It’s not clear who she will play at this time.
Stan, on the other hand has a role we can confirm here, as THR notes the star was poised to take hold of the role of Harvey Dent, better known as Two-Face, who’s last appearance in any form of DC films was the poorly received Joker: Folie à Deux. Meanwhile, Dance is poised to play Dent’s father.
If it wasn’t obvious, Reeves continues his directing position with The Batman: Part II with the scriot co-written by Mattson Tomlin and Reeves. Robert Pattinson also continues his venture as the Dark Knight. The film is expected to release October 1, 2027.
