Ted: The Animated Series officially announced for Peacock
Some time back, it was reported that a Ted spin-off was in the works and said spin-off would be animated. Nothing much came from that report since… until today when a laundry list of cast reprising their role in what is currently called Ted: The Animated Series was shared directly from the horse’s mouth.
Coming straight from Peacock themselves, the series will see “your favorite foul-mouthed teddy bear back in action” with slurry of returning cast. Ted, obviously continues to be voiced by creator Seth MacFarlane, who also serves as an executive producer alongside Paul Corrigan and Brad Walsh.
Other crew returning include Mark Whalberg as Ted’s friend, John, Amanda Seyfried as Sam, and Jessica Barth as Tami-Lynn. Meanwhile, Kyle Mooney and Liz Richman, the latter of which starred in the live action Ted spin-off, enters the scene as Apollo and Ruth respectively.
Ted: The Animated Series seems to follow the continuity of the live action spin-off, with Peacock encouraging people “get caught up” with the live action spin-off before the animated one releases. As it stands, there is no release date.
